Applied online and within a couple of days asked for a face-to-face interview. The hiring manager will come and get you. I have interviewed with Nordstrom in California and got the job( over all positive experience). However, interviewing for Nordstrom in Murray, UT was so awful. The hiring manager tried to make small talk while taking me to the room where he would interview me. He asked me, "So you tried the whole fashion model, but didn't like it?" I was like "What?" He says, "Oh I must have gotten you mixed up with another person I am going to interview." Finally, we are sitting and beginning the interview he then asks me, "How old are you?" First off that's illegal. They are not suppose to ask you this. He then back tracks, "You aren't 16 right?" I was so surprised that he would even ask me a second question to my age again. I answered no and what you just asked is illegal. He then says, "Oh I wanted to make sure because I have two positions we are hiring for and another girl is coming in for a seasonal position right after you." *Ok. Second, Hiring manager be more professional, organized, and know who you are interviewing with* Throughout the interview it was positive, but I got the feeling that he probably didn't like me because one, I am over qualified, two, most likely competition for his position.
