J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Noom
Entretien
Based on my experience Noom is the type of place that pretends to care about people but is, in fact, fake.
This is so typical and yet still disappointing, since I was genuinely interested in learning about the role.
I had a normal screening call with a recruiter who told me they would reach out and provide an update within a week. They did not.
By the time they got back to me, I had informed them I was approaching another offer from a different company. The recruiter finally responded and blamed me for the miscommunication, saying that I was supposed to send them an "updated resume" - which was not true. I'd already sent my resume. Why on earth would I send an outdated resume to anyone?
They concluded the email by saying that, while the timeline didn't work out this time (because I had another offer) they hoped to keep in touch about future opportunities.
I let them know I'd be happy to continue my candidacy for the role if they were interested as well since the other offer was delayed (based on how positive the email was) - and the ghosted me AGAIN!
If there's one thing I really don't like it's things that are fake. If you don't want to hire me, say so. Don't say that one of your core values is "Be super transparent, but be kind" and then be fake. Don't pretend like you were waiting on me to send an "updated resume" when you KNOW that's not what happened, and don't say you hope to keep in touch about future opportunities when you have no intention of doing that.
Do better, Noom.

Question 1
Typical "tell me about your experience" screening questions.

They wanted you to create and outline a 6 month editorial strategy for a site that has absolutely no edit staff or current strategy. This is supposed to only take 5 hours in a presentation that "you wont be held to".

All of them are standard questions until you get the huge ask of a presentation outlining a full edit strategy
