J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Noom (Portland, OR) en déc. 2019

      Entretien

I applied online and the process moved rather quickly. After applying I received an email a couple days later giving me 5 days to submit a one minute video of why I would be good for the role as well as answer 4 open-ended questions with a 25 minute timer. In this email they also said "all their current positions were already filled so there was no guarantee of an immediate offer at the end" which appeared strange but I didn't think much of it. I submitted this within one day and then heard back the next day letting me know that I made it to the next step which was a 45-60min mock coaching interview. I scheduled it for the next week. I was supposed to play coach and an employee was playing "Sam" on a google doc. Up until this point I felt like Noom was professional and polite in their interactions. However, the person playing "Sam" was way over-doing the part. I get that they want to make it "tough" or "worst case scenario" but it came across as more unprofessional. They really "dumbed" down the client way too much to the point where they kept saying they needed an explanation for something when I had clearly spelled out what I was saying in my paragraph of a response above. Also used a lot of "ummm" statements. In a real life coaching scenario someone is paying for this service and realistically would be a lot more invested in the conversation. Not 2-5 word replies every single time to open-ended Q's and clearly uninterested in the conversation. They abruptly stopped the interview 52 minutes in after "Sam" had a meltdown about "cake being served in her work conference room." It all felt really bizarre. I think there is a much better way going about the interview process or at least being pickier about which employee they have playing "Sam." I received an email 3 days later with the generic "at was a difficult decision but we are going with a better candidate." After reading some of the interview reviews I do wonder if there is something strange going on behind the scenes here. I too am over-qualified for the position with my education and experience in this field/role but was looking for a stay at home job to be with my son. It was a weird experience.

After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.

Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
