      - Submit resume, immediate approval for 'interview' - Series of questions, record yourself answering the questions - Wait for an answer I do admit that the process was quite unique, however I personally disliked it very much. I do understand the benefit of a video interview, but I do think that this is not much better than an employer skimming over your resume without speaking to you. This whole process should be optional, and have a traditional application method available.

Your resume gets passed through an automated system, then you get the honour of recording a series of videos that are completely awkward and unnatural. You are then told that while the videos are not mandatory, they will give the impression that you lack confidence. Red flag #1. When you get rejected (and you will, because this company's priorities are all out of whack), they will refuse to give you feedback because "giving feedback is against our company policy". I urge all prospective employees to avoid this company (and companies that have this sort of mentality), as it hurts our industry. Don't let companies like this prevail, making our work worse in the process.

      Question 1

Every question was generic and not well thought out. Straight out of a textbook with little to no modification.

Hi there! I totally understand the desire to want it to be more personal, and there are a few reasons we do it this way! 1. It's more convenient to candidates - meaning you can interview on your time, not someone elses, and get a fast response so you're not left in limbo. 2. Once someone has submitted their resume and applied we happily take requests for calls to discuss it if someone asks us in the chat bubble, and we also answer questions over chat and email prior to applying if that's ever a concern, so this makes it as personal as the candidate wants it to be. Some people like a self-serve platform, others, like you, are more traditional! :) 3. Due to the volume of candidates we get, for us to continue to grow at our current pace, we simply need a system like this, so it cannot be optional. Ironically, if it were, we may not even be growing at such a rate and you wouldn't even have wanted to apply as a result! Anyways, thank you so much for taking the time to apply. We really appreciate it, and it's unfortunately that it wasn't the right fit. We are not a traditional company.
