Received call from a Nextiva recruiter after submitting a resume online. Had good conversation that pointed me and the recruiter to a higher ranking, more appropriate position within Nextiva. Recruiter said he'd pass along my info to another recruiter who owned the other posting and that person would contact me. After a few weeks this other recruiter sent me a casual email asking me to "call me sometime" to discuss. He also sent invite to his calendar to schedule a call. I scheduled a call. The scheduled interview day and time came and went without hearing from the recruiter. Very uncool... I get the impression that some at Nextiva sort of think their company is so cool that you should chase them for an interview. Not very professional but have seen this attitude at a few other newer .com companies. I think it's what happens when millennials take over HR and recruiting. Advice: Company leaders should be watchful of who's controlling the front door. Too often, some very good, high potential recruits aren't getting past the bouncers... Me being kind of old-school, I refuse to chase a company recruiter for a position that I am well qualified for. My loss I suppose. It's a shame because it does seem like a great place to work!
