Within 2 days of submitting an application a recruiter contacted me and scheduled the first interview. The interview was odd - it lasted only 10 minutes, gave no opportunity for me to ask questions, and focused mostly on reminding her of which country I applied from and confirming that my salary expectations were within range (albeit barely). She ended the interview saying this looked great and she would proceed to the next step. Within a few hours I got an email congratulating me on making it to the next step and to provide my availability for the next interview. I completed this by end of day. I never heard back from the recruiter again - she completely ghosted me and didn't respond to my emails providing additional interview availability and seeking clarity. This was a very unprofessional experience and one I didn't expect with a company like this. Perhaps the recent M&A activity has affected the recruiting team, but I felt as simple reply back to was warranted even if it was to say that the hiring manager reviewed and didn't want to proceed or they cancelled the role. Hope others have a better experience.
