J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez New York Times (New York, NY)
Entretien
HR was extremely responsive and organized. Really appreciated their attentiveness. Made me feel welcome and wanted.
I met with 4 people and the interview itself was nearly 5 hours long...with the hiring manager being the last person out of 4. It made it nearly impossible to make a good impression when you've been grilled for close to 4 hours already.
NYT: Would highly recommend cutting interviews up into smaller, more digestible pieces, or at least putting the hiring manager first.
Interviewees: Would recommend carbo-loading the night before (pasta party, anyone?) in preparation for an extremely long interview process. Endurance is key.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
There are two engineers in the room with opposite visions and opinions for a Product. How do you reconcile the two and mitigate any disagreements?
Recruiter call was pretty straightforward. After that, I talked to hiring manager and people manager. The questions are quite simple, but they look for ppl who show NYT missions and values.

Entretien
1. Hiring Manager round - Discussion about the current projects and how would you apply that experience at NYT
2. 4 stakeholder rounds - You meet the people you are going to work and deep dive into product strategy and execution.
3. Final VP round
First I had a phone screen, and then a video call with the hiring manager. The phone screen was very informal and casual, whereas the interview with the hiring manager was more structured and had questions that were relevant to the specific team and role.
