Entretien
I first met with the recruiter who was essentially late to the zoom meeting. I had to email and confirm I was on the line. The recruiter came on and said he apologized as he didnt notice the time...(that should have been my redflag for the company) I then was pushed through and met with the photo director who seemingly had scatterbrain....It went well overall and she mentioned I'd basically be her assistant on top of being an editor which I thought was odd but would give it a go anyway. She seemed to like me and ran through the basics of the role and said she needed to draft up an edit test and then I'd speak to the EIC. I received the edit test a few days later and it was about 4 questions. I spent well over 24 hours perfecting the test and gathering all required materials...(afterall the test is based on hypothetical scenarios)After submitting the test....I never heard back from neither the recruiter nor the director. No feedback...no respnse...just your free work gone into thin air...(or is it gone?) I think too often these companies are stealing the work of talents and then GHOSTING as if you didnt get the job but what they really wanted was someone to do the job for free. (!!)
