The interview process was very rigorous but not difficult for someone who knows what they are doing. The interview started with a phone screen with a recruiter and an initial fit/skills/experience screening. It then moved on to doing a video interview with the group director. Then was a 1 week long technical skills assessment using the actual product and walking through several topics of questions. The technical assessment is challenging but not too difficult for someone that comes from a Linux SRE/Dev background. The only issue I had with it was the time consuming nature of the technical assessment. Be prepared to put in 10-20 hours worth of time to complete everything. Once the technical assessment was passed you will have to do an in person software demo & presentation to a panel of senior SE leadership. There is also a potential one interview with a group VP.

Application and Initial Screening: Submit your application through the New Relic careers website or other relevant channels. If your application is shortlisted, you may be contacted for an initial screening. This could be a conversation with a recruiter to discuss your background, skills, and interest in the role. Technical Phone Screen: If you pass the initial screening, you may have one or more technical phone interviews. These interviews typically involve coding exercises, problem-solving, and discussions about your technical skills and experience. The interviewer may assess your problem-solving abilities, coding proficiency, and understanding of relevant technologies.
Fairly standard process. First interview with recruiter, then a conversation with hiring manager, a few other conversations with other folks in the org. Finally a technical assignment and a presentation component.
