J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Neuravest Research en févr. 2022
Entretien
This process was very off-putting.
I applied online and I was e-mailed by one of their team members, named Ruben, for a follow-up. That interview was very positive. I genuinely felt like this might be the company for me to join based off of that one interview.
My second interview was with their CEO, named Erez. This interview was not even an interview. When I joined the Zoom meeting Erez was already in the meeting room with some other individual, going through a powerpoint presentation. It seemed like the presentation one would pitch to investors for funding.
I joined by default with my camera off, so zoom only shows my name. Out of curiosity I wondered what his reaction would be to me joining, but surprisingly there was none, he just kept talking through his powerpoint slides. 5 minutes in, I grew impatient, so I turned my camera on. Immediately he went "oh who's this?" I told him "Hi my name is and I'm supposed to have an interview scheduled at this time." He was taken aback by surprise. He finished up the presentation for the other individual and then proceeded to talk to me. Given the fact that he did not notice that I joined the zoom room, and that he was giving a powerpoint presentation rather than having a personalized one-on-one, I already had a bad feeling but decided to keep speaking with him.
From speaking to him, I gauged fairly quickly that this man did not really know what he was talking about. He threw out fancy machine learning terms like "neural network" and "random forest" but the context in which he was using these phrases showed me he didn't actually understand what these things did.
Given how bad a feeling I had, I went on glassdoor and looked up reviews of the company. There were too many red flags and I decided not to proceed. It seems obvious to me that many of the "positive" reviews are done by employees that are pressured into doing so.
This "interview" was extremely unprofessional. I walked away from them.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
They did not ask me any technical questions.
They did issue a **200 minute long** technical screen which I did not bother to even start.
Phone screening-coding round- first tech round- second tech round- final round. First few were okay and interviewers were really nice but the experience for last round with the CEO really feels disrespectful.
