Short 30 minute interview consisting of only questions safety critical questions and general interview questions. Only 2 people interviewing so not too night pressure would say an easy interview over all

Main interviewer collected me from reception 5 minutes late and proceeded to immediately complain about trying to find a mouse to use with the laptop for the interview test - this was followed by saying - jokingly-the laptop may get thrown out the window. Met other interviewer, no-one from HR present. Start of the interview process was a 3 part test on the laptop (mouse finally sorted..!) which was completed in the interview room with the interviewers. This was followed by approximately 45 minutes of interview questions, all relevant and straightforward. One of the interviewers was particularly encouraging saying “well done” after almost every answer - it felt very relaxed and felt i was ‘fitting in’ and definitely had the correct skill set. The other interviewer spoke about previous interview candidates including one from John Lewis who was outstanding but three weeks into the job left by mutual decision.....??? Lots of laughter and almost too friendly but made me feel I would be a good fit. However eventually rejected - bit disappointing to see the role advertised on indeed.com before the rejection email (think a phone call is more appropriate myself). The role is now advertised again - is there a problem with recruitment in this team?
