      Entretien pour Personal Shopper- Designer

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 5 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Neiman Marcus (Beverly Hills, CA) en janv. 2018

      Entretien

My good friend/former coworker recommended me to HR for my sales experience (4 years luxury/designer retail, very big client book and top sales). HR director suggested I apply online and she would look for my resume. After taking this insanely long personality test and submitting a thoughtful, focused cover letter, I applied. 2 days later, I got the phone call to come in for a "group interview" in two days. I meet in the restaurant with 10 other canidates, and 3 HR managers. One by one, we would go around to answer a series unintelligent or flippant series of questions, (refer below), and I was the last in the rotation. Unfortunately, in my case, none of the questions really pertained to sales experience, let alone luxury/designer sales experience. So when I was answering questions, I tried to fit that in. In a group of 10, only 3 of didn't "just move to LA", and out of the 3 of us, only 2 of us had more than 1 year of retail experience, and my counterpart in this scenario was a former co-worker (at the store I was presently trying to leave, where I was the top sales person) that was fired for low sales/lack of clienteling. So, they concluded the interview with telling 4 of us that they would call us to schedule the next phase with a manager for the department we where interviewing with. Then they gave us a chocolate chip cookie. The next day, I received a generic email stating, "we are looking for someone with client experience." I was so pissed. I was literally the only candidate with an actual local and loyal client following that mentioned that in the interview, top sales (over $2M annual sales) at a direct competitor of Neimans, and I had to answer questions like the ones below. I just wanted to make 10% of my sales. Thanks for blowing that one for me Neiman Marcus of Beverly Hills.
