I didn't actually make it to the interview process, but I felt compelled to point out how impersonal and dehumanizing they managed to make a rejection notice.
About a week after applying, I got an automated letter letting me know I wasn't selected to go further. But in their email they stated "I appreciated the time you spent researching Neighborhoods.com, and the time you took to speak with me..."
Yet, I never spoke to anyone! Are they not aware of that? And who is this 'me' who was emailing me their thanks? Well, I couldn't tell you because they signed off the email with "Regards," and... no name in the signature.
Be better than this. It's bad enough to get rejection letters, you can at least have your sh*t together about whether you actually spoke to me.
