It started just fine. The recruiter welcomed me first and we had a brief greeting then I was informed about the interview's outline, which included technical questions that I found quite odd since the person interviewing me had no technical background so I kindly pointed this out but also acknowledged it, and we continued because I didn't know what the questions would be.
The interview quickly became impersonal. The recruiter read company information from text on their computer thus I found myself waiting for that part to finish. After some general talking, the technical questions began. At that point, it was obvious these questions demanded a technical conversation.
Honestly I found this insulting to candidates. The questions required a certain level of technical understanding therefore it was pointless for someone to just take notes while they couldn't understand the content enough to summarize it effectively. Otherwise, just taking down every word is meaningless. It was just frustrating and I canceled my application and left the interview.
