      Entretien

I was first contacted over the phone by a VP to do a screening interview. The phone interview lasted about 40 minutes and consisted of behavioral questions. I was asked to give an overview of my resume, explain why I was interested in the position, and also give a summary of my research skills. About 2 weeks later, I received a call that they would like to fly me in for an office visit. During the office visit, I gave a 20 minute presentation about my research to 3 VPs, which lasted about 1.5 hours (presentation + questions). They were keen on testing my knowledge in experimental design, survey construction, and statistical analysis. This was perhaps the hardest part of the interview and the only time I felt I was truly being tested. After the presentation, I met individually with 3 more people (one VP, 2 Group Directors) for quick 15 minute interviews. These were more informal and consisted questions about my background and skill set. They also encouraged me to ask them questions about the company and their experiences there. Everyone was very friendly and genuinely seemed interested in meeting me and learning about my background. They pride themselves on have an academic bent in their work, often highlighting how their work is detail-oriented, data driven, and very specific to the problem at hand. The majority of the senior people at the company have been with the company for 10+ years, and many people talked about how they enjoyed the collaborative and open culture of the company.
