I'm writing a negative review for Glassdoor for the first time, and I'm doing it to ensure that what I experienced in the interview doesn’t happen to other candidates.
I interviewed for the HRBP position at the Israeli site. I have 11 years of experience, having worked at some of the best and most recognized companies, and I've gone through numerous job interviews throughout my career. Some experiences were positive, while others were less so, but I always thanked the interviewers and moved on—until this interview.
My candidate experience was the worst I can describe, even traumatic. I was interviewed by two interviewers, one junior and one senior. They introduced themselves pleasantly at the beginning of the interview, and then it began: they interrupted me rudely almost every word I said, made faces, mocked, belittled, and dismissed me. Furthermore, the questions were irrelevant and unprofessional. Typically, interview questions follow a format like: "Tell me about a situation where X occurred, what was the situation? What did you do?" In this case, the interviewers presented a current situation and asked what I would do, but provided no context.
I would elaborate more on what happened in the interview and how serious it was, but the page is too short to contain it. This was the first time I almost stopped an interview midway.
I still haven’t received a response from them. The answer will likely be negative, but even if it’s not, there’s no chance I would want to work at a place represented by those individuals! I wish the interview had been recorded so it could be shared as a lesson on how not to conduct interviews.
I’ve been interviewing for years myself. Even when a candidate seems like a poor fit, I try to give them a pleasant experience. I would never rudely interrupt, belittle, or do the things I experienced in this interview.
I’ve heard such great things about the company, and I’m so disappointed now. What a shame.
