      Entretien pour Entry Level Marketing

      Entretien

This company is extremely misleading and dishonest in how they recruit. The job posting I applied to was written as if it were a marketing and leadership development role with room for growth into management. Nowhere did it say the job was actually door to door sales for T Mobile. In my first interview, I specifically asked what my day to day would look like. The CEO, Lauren, refused to answer and told me I would “see at my second round interview” where I would shadow someone. That “shadow” was nothing more than walking door to door trying to sell. When salary came up, they admitted you “have to earn it” — because it is commission-based sales, not a marketing role with a real base salary as advertised. They also make the process sound like a professional corporate opportunity by saying there are three interview rounds. In reality, it is just a tactic to make you believe this is a selective, serious position. The truth is they are trying to get as many people as possible to sign on for door to door sales. The entire experience felt manipulative, uncomfortable, and like a scam. I wasted both time and money going to an interview that was not what was promised. This is not marketing. It is deceptive sales work dressed up with buzzwords to lure people in. Do not waste your time with this company.

NM Marketing group- New York 43 W 46st Kind of weird door to door sales/marketing. 1st interview was light and quick. 2nd round where you shadow was weird. The reps that you shadow are assigned a territory where they cold pitch business owners to switch from their current provider to T-Mobile. From what I gathered there deal is that at one point you are promoted and at that point you "leave" the nm group and "start a new business" where you recruit people and The NM group and T-Mobile get a percentage of all sales. Not really a scam but kind of a weird business model. Thats why there is like 100 company names from the same building. Didn't really say much about the shadow day in the 1st interview. Just know what you are getting into on day 2.

Everyone was great and the interviews were easy, but the second round "shadow day" consists of going to a random neighborhood in New York and going door to door trying to sell their services to business owners. The pay is also set up like a MLM, meaning the more people you recruit, the more money you make. Not for me, but seems lucrative if you're good at it.
