I noticed the internal job posting online and that it had been posted for a long time and was still closed. So I found out who the hiring manager was and asked if it could be reopened so I could apply for it. After applying online a panel interview was arranged and I met with several people for a panel interview and shared my resume and examples of my work. Then was offered the position shortly thereafter.
