Had an interview with a recruiter. He told me how informal his company was and how many jobs he worked before becoming a recruiter at this company (he said he worked in construction prior to his current role). He told me the company wanted to streamline the interview process and he liked me so I would meet with the person who would be my immediate supervisor and the director of the department. The immediate supervisor wore a mask to the interview, which was weird because our meeting was on zoom. So they asked me questions about skills they didn’t mention in the job description at all. The job description mentioned the fraud analyst would be responsible for chargebacks concerning disputes between players for the company’s games and would help identify fraud trends in the company’s games to mitigate risk. The two managers I spoke with said they wanted that and someone with coding experience which was never mentioned during the initial interview or in the job posting. I said I took some coding classes in college but I did not major in computer science. Other than that I thought the interview went well but two weeks later I got a rejection email from the recruiter. To add insult to injury he put the wrong job title in the rejection letter.
