Phone interview Mock teaching lesson but with lessons prepared by Myriad. Instructions were specific and indicated they should be followed to the letter. When I got there, I found I was not going to teach everything I had prepared but only snippets that they requested. After I taught those lessons, I received suggestions about how it could have been better by adding other things. I agree but I followed the instructions they gave me including what was basically script. After that they handed me materials and said teach a lesson with this. It was a complete set up for failure. I was told to use a piano facing a wall and then teach a piano lesson (I'm not pianist and said this in the initial interview) to a mock class of students who consisted of the interviewer. I was told I should have been facing her and that I should have started in the way in which I initially said I wanted to but they said just start as if you had already done that. They told me I was not eligible for the actual job I wanted and in order to take the job I did want, I would have to include 2 other classes with it. I never heard from them again.
