Very much disappointed with interview process. Before starting the interview process i told i have an offer and need hike on it. They agreed on it and we started interview process. Once interview process completed, HR called me for HR discussion. I clearly mentioned i have an offer of XX LPA and i need atleast 20-30% hike on it. Then HR told they will check with business and let me know. Then HR came to me as business can only provide some YY LPA( which less than the offer i hold). Please dont waste our time and other opportunities. Dont take interviews if you cannot afford resources.

After all the rounds were cleared its only when I called the HR to check on the offer letter I got to know that my offer stays cancelled due to the budget constraints and some irrelevant reasons such as for the selected band they can only offer my current CTC. Dear HR , if this was the case you could have said it in the starting only even before scheduling my interview and wasting my 2 hours for two rounds also after clearing all the rounds atleast the person deserves to know the status than just ghosting me.
