I was referred internally and spoke with the recruiter, she quickly moved me to the next round. I assumed it would be with the hiring manager, but it was another product marketer which was a bit odd. After talking with her I was moved to the next round which was an onsite interview. The process was timely and professionally managed, the office is in a good location but it's cramped and for a company this size that's a bit disappointing to see people working in basically a basement level and desks are all close together and very small. The open office is becoming more of a factory floor. They do panel interviews, which usually is great to get a good perspective on the company. However, I didn't talk to a single manager or anyone from the leadership team and not even the hiring manager, they said he was dealing with an emergency health issue, so why not push back the interview. Some of the questions were amateurish, tell me the thing you are most proud of and least proud of. While everyone seems to be happy working there, they were all just doing jobs, I didn't hear anything about growth or leadership during the entire 3-hour interview. It's great to have a team you can trust, but as a manager, it's your job to hire, grow and develop talent and it's obvious they are not doing that, just filling roles. Two days letter I got a rejection.

Met with recruiter, hiring manager, and then a peer. Then I met with the person who would have been the main internal client for the role. This interview was in the top 3 worst interview experiences in my 25 year career. This person continued to cut me off, interrupt me, and talk over me. He probably regards all women colleagues the same way. He posed questions that required specific knowledge of the products, which I obviously couldn't answer. At one point, he argued with me about A/B testing. If this is how a member of the hiring team treats candidates, he must be impossible to work with. With five minutes left in the interview, I ended the meeting. It was unbearable. I do want to say that all of the other people I interviewed with were respectful and professional. This one was a class-a clown.
