Contacted by recruiter on LinkedIn, had initial phone screen was then invited to their corporate office where I spoke to 1 person onsite and 2 people via video chat, this made no sense to me but I went with it. Very canned questions for a startup. Was told that I would hear back in a few days. Monday at exactly 9 am I received an automated email telling me that I was not selected. After reading the reviews this seems to be a common trend. This speaks volumes to the kind of people who work at this company. Grow a pair and have the guts to personally reach out to candidates. Recruiters are your best friend...until they no longer need you, quite sad.

Robot questions, not really a conversation. They all asked the same questions and they certainly stick to their time. Basic tell me about a time questions. I was overwhelmed by all the beards and skinny jeans that it was tough to concentrate.

Entretien
30 minute call with a screener followed by a 30-45 minute with a hiring manager. The call with the screen went well, as she was very knowledgeable, and provided great insight to the role. I was moved to the next round with the hiring manager, and was pretty disappointed with how that call went.
They scheduled our call between flights (which I appreciated) until trying to talk to the HM through the noise of the airport and the constant distractions. The HM was friendly, and asked the same basic questions, but I was continuously interrupted by airport announcements, and people standing nearby.
Felt a bit disrespected in regards to my time, and the level of effort I put in to prepare for the interview.

The interview process at Motive was thorough, structured, and communicated with a high level of professionalism. While I was not ultimately selected for the role, I was very impressed by the way the process concluded. Rather than a standard rejection email, the internal recruiter took the time to connect with me directly on the phone and provide thoughtful, candid feedback on both my strengths and areas for improvement. That kind of transparency and respect for candidates is rare, and I truly appreciated it. I hold Motive in high regard and wish the team continued success moving forward.

How many on-sight meetings I have taken in my life that didn't involve me getting into an elevator.
Had an initial screening call, discussed the company and role. Was given good feedback based on my experience for the role. They said I would hear back from them in a week. Never heard again despite chasing a few times. Not very professional.
