So, it all started with the 'big company' contacting me through my naukri profile and calling for interview.
I went to the office at outer ring road, Ecospace, crossing rivers, mountains and oceans of traffic.
was late, but they didn't mind, put me into a room of applicants waiting for rounds, avg gap of 1 hour between rounds, had lunch on campus, and left the premises by evening.
1st round : on core features of java language, in great depth : java 8 features, nested classes, constructor invocation order wrt subclasses, overriding & hiding of fields, methods, default methods, etc.
2nd round: purely on DS & algo : print a tree in zigzag level order traversal, reverse an integer which is given in string format.
3rd round: design round : mixed ds & algo + java: implement a data structure that will get, put and sum all elements (integer) in O(1) time, Dependency Injection question & problem solution using generics. Here, was also asked about my previous works, projects & any questions you have to us ? i asked and came to know that work is not purely technical, was little sad about that.
after an hour of wait, was asked to leave for the day, the jam on the ecospace campus road took 45 min to reach the main road, wondering should i ever join a company within ecospace.
days later, HR gave offer letter & salary discussions took place, they were a bit reluctant to give 12+, citing campus hiring & lateral hiring are different, this is meaningless (avg salary for the position on glassdoor was 15). anyways I agreed.
But later got discouraged to join because of fixed schedule work timings, hectic and not 100%technical work and lower than avg salary.
