Started with a very friendly internal hiring manager call. This was followed by an immediate pair-coding exercise in which a simple task was to be done with a principle engineer overseeing the work. I did not make it further. I found the exercise a waste of time in assessing my skills as an engineer.

This outfit is notorious for time wasting. Process was a 30 mins chat with a non-technical see if there's a culture fit (this was when I should have bailed), then 2 weeks later 30 mins chat with a PM (pretty much the same conversation), followed by an hour interview with 2 developers. Pretty typical experience of the industry really, large take home exercise that they ultimately have no interest in whether you complete (don't waste your time), instead be prepared for gotchya style questions that they've prepared in advance. I was then ghosted and received a default automatic reply 2 weeks later with a rejection and zero follow up.
