They asked me for my expected salary during the telephonic interview. I quoted a number. I am later told that I got selected for the in-person interview, so I assumed that they have agreed to the number or might negotiate a little. However, during the interview I find out that the actual compensation is TEN TIMES LESSER. They did not inform me this during the telephonic interview or over email. If I had known in advance, I would not have gone for the interview.
