A recruiter reached out to me about an open position. I am happy at my current job but took the call out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. The recruiter was very personable and it seemed to be going great. I was excited to hear more about the opportunity and he said he would put me in touch with a manager of the position early next week. Then a few weeks went by and the recruiter ghosted me. It started off very well but out of mutual respect, it’s very unprofessional to drop all communications out of nowhere with no explanation. I was excited for potential future opportunities but was left very dissatisfied with the way it was dropped.

Process was clear and steps were clarified along the way. Very positive experience with the team involved in the interview process. The environment and technical challenges were different than my current job role in positive ways. I do not believe I hit the right skills in key areas to advance in the process to the final interview and offer phase.
