      Entretien

I applied for this position through Indeed last week, and the recruiter promptly reached out via email to schedule a phone interview for the following week. I received an invitation for a Teams Meeting interview, which contradicted their initial communication. Nevertheless, I accepted and on the designated day, I made sure to be early and dressed professionally, in case they preferred a video interview. Despite our scheduled time, no one appeared. I waited for fifteen minutes, allowing for the possibility of a delay due to another interview commitment. However, no one joined the room. Frustrated, I emailed the recruiter, expressing my disappointment and indicating my inclination to reconsider my application due to the evident lack of professionalism. This is where the situation took a rather bizarre turn. I received a response stating that they had canceled the Teams Meeting just five minutes after sending it, explaining it was created in error. Consequently, this also canceled our phone interview. They mentioned that both the hiring manager and I were notified. However, after thoroughly reviewing my emails, I found absolutely no notification. The response indicated that the hiring manager was fully made aware that the phone interview was mistakenly canceled. However, neither the recruiter nor the hiring manager attempted to contact me to either reschedule or uphold the original interview via a phone call as originally stated. While they did offer an apology in their email, they did not make any effort whatsoever to reschedule the interview or try to keep me as a potential candidate. Their response simply concluded with a casual and rather dismissal "good luck". I replied once more, reiterating my disappointment in their lack of communication. I emphasized that had they been aware of their error, they should have reached out to me instead of allowing me to join a meeting where it was evident they had no intention of participating. I concluded by stating that I was no longer interested in the role, emphasizing the significance of first impressions in evaluating a company's professionalism, and expressing my belief that they had massively fallen short in this regard. They stopped communicating with me after that proving that my claims were true.
