The interview consisted of three stages; an initial call with the recruitment manager, a video call with some of the team, and an in-person interview with some of the team, some of the senior staff, and a brief technical exercise.
The whole process was great until the very end. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly. It was all a really positive experience. However, one of the primary people I was in contact with left their position a couple of days before my final interview, and the replacement seemed very impersonal. After going through a 6 week process from application to final interview, the email telling me I hadn't got the position was incredibly impersonal and felt more like a generic application rejection than something at the final stage. I'm hoping this was possibly just a first week mistake of a new starter who thought I was an initial applicant, because it really didn't match the feel of the rest of the company at all.
One big plus I will still give them however is they offer a very generous travel cost reimbursement for the in person interview.
