The recruiter never actually spoke with me, he just sent me a list of pre-screening questions for me to answer. The next steps were a phone conversation with the hiring manager, who gaslighted me into believing I would be moving on to the next steps. I sent a thank-you email but didn’t get a response until the next day I received the standard automated rejection email. I believe I was the one token diversity interview the hiring manager had to do for the interview.
