I had one phone conversation with the RH person, then I was scheduled to be interviewed by the Hiring Manager.
Company said that he was off, so I'd only find available time to talk to him on the 28th. So I did, scheduled the interview for 2 weeks from then.
2 hours prior to the interview, they send me a message saying that they were going to cancel it due to the fact that they decided to proceed with another candidate.
That's right. They cancelled an interview that was scheduled more than 2 weeks ago.

Question 1
They wanted to know more about my previous experiences.

Really bad. Worst interview of my life.
The interviewer did not turn on his camera saying that his camera is not working. How can you schedule interviews if your camera is not working. Fix it first.
Red flag 2: Did not even introduce himself.

Nothing. Just asked my intro and asked me to show folio

I applied and within a few days had a screening phone call. The recruiter then sent me a personality and cognitive test to take in order to proceed. This required a timed 15 minute test to answer 50 questions (plus time for any practice tests if you actually want to ‘pass’) and then you are given an untimed personality test (took me about 30 minutes). I ‘passed’ and proceeded through several interviews and then heard nothing for weeks. When I followed up with the recruiter, she said the team had decided to proceed with other candidates but it is their policy not to provide any feedback as to why.
This is the ONLY company out of many much larger and smaller companies that I’ve interviewed with that made me take a personality test in order to schedule an interview. At this level of career, a company should be talking to as many candidates as possible to find those diamonds in the rough.
Even though I passed, it left a very undesirable feeling towards the company. My advice is to run for the hills if a prospective employer asks you to take a personality test rather than speak with you as a person to decide if you’re a right fit for the team. If they do, this is not a company who treats their employees as human beings but rather commodities.
