I applied online and 5 days later the Technical Recruiter contacted me for an interview. A few days later I was screened by him. I was then asked to fill out more information about myself in a template about work I had done. Then an interview was scheduled and I was asked to fill out an application with references prior to the interview. This is all via phone.
Due to the time difference, I am on the east coast, the interview was scheduled after 5pm my time. Honestly, not the best time for an interview.
Unlike a lot of people on here, I no longer investigate hiring managers prior to interviews via linkedin.
The question is are you actually a fit for the role. It is better to know that prior to expending energy to drive or fly to a final interview.
Anyway, the hiring manager was too junior. I understood this in the first 5 minutes of the interview based on the giggling. The hiring manager did not introduce themselves but explained the status of the department. Then proceeded to jump into questions about how I handled certain situations.
When it was my time to ask questions, I asked what are you looking for in a candidate? I also asked for the HM to give me a bit of background about how they ended up in the role?
One of the Hiring Managers key objectives is not possible. Everyone has had a manager tell them they wanted to do something and it sounded improbable but you tried. Later you realized that the manager did not have enough knowledge about what they were asking to understand why it was not possible.
At this point in my life, I know that what is being asked can't happen EVER successfully.
I figured I was not going to the next round but the hiring manager said that there would be another phone interview scheduled. I thought since it was another phone interview, I would try again b/c maybe I was not at my best due to the hour and had incorrectly assessed something.
Days go by and I don't receive any contact from the company. I then follow-up with the recruiter and ask the status. About a day later I received a nicely worded message from Mindbody about a slight hold and comparing with other candidates.
At this time, I decided to withdraw from the process.
I am glad I had the chance to speak with a hiring manager at the company. I now know it is not the place for me.
I think it is difficult for some companies to maintain their culture once they go public. I believe the pressure by wall street to keep making huge profits year over year, can make people forget what they were trying to achieve in the first place.
Please remember your 5 Cs.
The best part of the process was the technical recruiter.
face to face, interview with director, HR, and phone interview with managing director. Process was very smooth, you get introduced with the recruitment team and they will let you know the outcome.

Liked all the Interview Panel and the HR process. One of the HR team to process the profile fastest in Pune and very quick response. The screening process is robust and overall it's very friendly environment.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Individual Panel has their own set of question but overall they check aptitude, technical and personality throughout the process.

Phone screen with HR then video interview with hiring leader given I didn't live in the area. Be sure to ask them for the salary range because the new law in California requires they provide it to you. The range was so low that I decided not to move forward after being invited to the final interview, even if I could negotiate up a bit. Also, a big selling point for me would have been the on site daycare, but I called the center and there was a waiting list that sounded like it was months-long. Ultimately it really was just not an attractive offer, which was disappointing. San Luis Obispo is an wonderful location and many people take pay-cuts to move there, but at the end of the day it is still expensive and MINDBODY salaries appear to be very low.
