I recently went through the interview process with MidPen Housing and while the experience was mostly positive, there were some areas for improvement. I applied online and was quickly contacted for a phone screen just two days later. The process moved fast—within two days of the phone screen, I had my first-round interview with the hiring manager and a team member. Shortly after, I was invited to a panel interview with the rest of the team, followed by a final review with the CPO. I truly appreciated the company’s mission and felt the team was passionate about their work. MidPen Housing seems like an employee-centric organization that values collaboration and impact. However, after investing time in multiple rounds, I was ultimately declined. I wish the decision had been clearer after the first round to avoid unnecessary steps in the final stages. Overall, a well-structured but time-intensive process that could benefit from more upfront transparency in hiring decisions.
