Pretty straightforward 1-1 session to discuss the project and skills you have. It lasted around an hour and by the end of it both the interviewer and the candidate has the information they needed.

While having some familiarity is reasonable, the level of assumed prior knowledge seemed excessive, especially considering that this information is typically covered during onboarding or training. This approach may make it harder for new candidates—particularly those from outside the company’s ecosystem—to demonstrate their potential or adaptability.
