Was a little odd for a first round! Very few background/experience related questions, mostly hypothetical scenarios that you had to react to or provide recommendations based on. But overall the interviewer was friendly and helpful, just felt like we didn’t get to talk much about the role!

Typical behavioral interview process. STAR format style interview questions. Why do you want to work at Microsoft, tell me about a time questions, greatest strengths, greatest weaknesses. Consisted of a recruiter screening, and three back to back interviews with senior and principal PMs.

It was a level II and it was a great chat with the interviewer. More questions about my past experience, how I handled new features, change of requirements and my thoughts about AI replacing or writing code.
