J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Microsoft en août 2008

I got an initial interview in my university in Mexico. In this first interview they checked mainly if i could speak proper english and what kind of software I had made as university projects. Finally I gave them my CV. The next week I received an email saying that they were going back to my uni in 2 weeks and asked if I was interested in having a second interview. I said yes and I took the second interview. In the second interview they asked how I would sort a packet of cards, and how I would find out which number is missing from a 1 to 1,000,000 if I should make a program. Two weeks later they told me I have passed the interview and they wanted to interview me in microsoft headquarters. Once I got there I got 4 interviews, 1 person each, the first one was a HR lady, the last 3 were software engineers, thequestions were difficult to me, they asked me to write code on the whiteboard. I failed miserably in 1, and with the 2 others it went so so. In the end they didn't offer me the job.

Straightforward technical loop overall, with strong interviewers at every stage. I genuinely enjoyed the in-depth conversations around technical challenges and algorithmic problem-solving — the entire process felt well-structured and genuinely engaging.

The interview was hard, even as a fresher the dsa they asked was hard category after I checked on leetcode. Though I couldn't solve it. Some of the other people who interviewed were asked easy - medium dsa
The interview was a long process. There was first the recruiter screen, which was followed by a 4-loop interview structure that covered technical, behavioral, and system design. The interviewers were very kind and accommodating.
