The HR person was nice and friendly. A good impression of the company was perceived from the general discussion about the position and expectations. The second interview was below average. One of the interviewers, a principal data engineer did not have the courtesy of turning on their web camera or to inform prior to leaving the meeting. The second interviewer seemed inexperienced, was ill prepared and often yawned and laughed for seemingly no reason. It was like a game of one upping me or trying to make me feel bad. He asked trick sql questions and some simple python stuff, au contraire to the interview steps mentioned on their website. No discussion about past projects or anything. The overall feeling of the interview was haphazard and more like a high school examination where the teacher forgot to make the question paper. The various small things created a bad impression about their culture and way of working. Decided to revoke my application and requested not to be considered further.

HR was nice enough with an initial phone screen. Two technical rounds scheduled. First technical round was virtual, the interviewer didn't seem to be motivated to be there. It looked like he was reading the questions off of a list. At one point he asked about common table executions were, when i said i wasn't sure and he started to explain, i corrected him as he meant common table expressions. The interview just kept getting worse from there. After the call i informed HR i was dropping out of the process. Not sure If i dodged a bullet or just got unlucky.
