J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Metapack en août 2021

      Entretien

Submitted my CV through LinkedIn which was follow by an email requesting some further information on experience and salary expectations after which an 'interview chat' was arranged over the phone with the Head of Talent. The interviewer lacked any curiosity and questions were only directed to look at past work 'experience' and not seeing capacities beyond. I agree with other interview reviewers, it felt like the person wanted to tick everything off a 'job description' list and am surprised for a company that promotes diversity of people, experiences, and mindsets that none of this was looked at in my interview. I didn't get a feeling of what it's like to work in Metapack. I was asked my knowledge on the company and then provided with the same information back, not linking into my answers or giving more than what I can read on the website. Questions were directed towards my current role which was explained in email correspondence smaller than other places I worked. I felt like the interviewer came from a recruiter background and not human resources, a distinct difference as latter seeks to find the real value in people. Value that can not be overstated/exaggerated on a CV/interview but the talent that a person can bring to a team. If someone comes into a role with all the 'experience and skills' where is the growth for them? The interviewer's technique was traditional and carried out over the phone again not what I had expected, most calls are through video. I was asked for my current salary and expected salary which seems standard now a days but something I feel is entirely inappropriate at earlier interview stages. After the 'chat' I got a the standard response of going with 'other candidates having skills and experience more aligned to what we are looking for.' Maybe if I was able to tick all the job description boxes I would have got a second interview but then again if the recruiter took time out to speak with then obviously I must have had the experience and skills needed for the role, so still none the wiser on what they were looking for. It's such a disappointment, I was very excited about this company, their values spoke to me, Transparent, Reliable, Unafraid, Selfles, Tenacious - Trust - and then your met with an interviewer who wants to tick the 'job description boxes'. It makes you wonder why companies try to sell themselves as 'creative mindsets' when really its just dressing their shop windows and no subsistence.
