Entretien
I was interviewing for a Data Scientist internship position in January 2024. The first interview was mostly basic pandas/SQL, the interviewer was very friendly and helpful. I got the news that I got to the next round the same day.
It took a while for Meta to schedule the next interview though. My interview was cancelled/postponed 5 times in total. Sometimes, the interview would cancel the interview less than 24 hours in advance. When these cancellations were happening, the hiring manager (they are outsourcing the hiring operations to another company in India) would not respond to my questions about the date of the next interview. Since the hiring person never responded to me, I had to forward all the questions to the recruiter. My 2nd interview then ended up being 1 month away from my 1st interview.
The second interview was just product sense. The interviewer was a bit late and not as welcoming as the first interviewer. In general, when asked about working at Meta, he mostly said it was busy, didn’t mention any positive aspects. After the interview, the recruiter got back to me saying they’d follow up with their decision by the end of the week. They did not. Every week the recruiter would email me saying that they need more time. They eventually rejected me 5 weeks after the 2nd interview.

How to merge data frames? What is the difference between different types of merges? Investigate a dip in users of a new product (don’t remember exactly)
2 technical calls - first one was SQL + Case Study on metrics, second one was similar case study and a quantitative stats type questions. Got the offer ~ 10 days after, full process took 2 months or so
resume -> product case -> 2 SQL
Product case ask about the market place. "Based on the conversation between custumer and seller, how to determine whether the custumer's issue has been solved or not"
SQL is easy.

Entretien
There were two interviews, both were 45 minutes long. First focused on SQL and a product case portion. Second focused on SQL and "quant" (basically familiarity with numbers and statistics)
