After a phone interview with a recruiter, I was offered an online interview with the direct manager of the research team. And it was very casual and somehow it was formal. He asked me about the related experiences and knowledge regarding my research topic and their research topic. He tried to make me comfortable.

Questions were related to personal experience. For example, if you are applying for a computer vision position or your experience is related to computer vision. What kind of machine learning algorithms did you use? Do you explain the process of machine learning that you used (Layers, computing process)? What have you done to implement it? What was the result?

The recruiter was very useful and available for questions, prompt feedback.
Round 1 with manager with behavioural questions, examples of projects, impact and motivation.
I didn't get the job though, but the recruitment process was fair.

I interviewed with the hiring manager. This individual was arrogant and rude towards me during the interview, making disparaging comments about my current employer and experience, and mocking me for asking about job security in the company. After this experience I decided to withdraw my interest in the position.
