Employee referral. Received an email from the recruiter and arranged for a phone call quite quickly. The phone screen was pretty standard, unfortunately the recruiter demonstrated lack of (basic) technical understanding therefore most of the answers have been kept at a simple level of explanation and technical details. The recruiter described the area where fb was currently recruiting and asked whether some areas where more interesting to me than others. To which I have indicated my preferences. I got a mail a few days after informing me that the interview was positive but fb was interested in recruiting people with a different background, more in line with the areas they were recruiting. I honestly am still wondering if they have ever read my CV prior to getting in touch. It felt like a waste of time and energy and also getting unnecessarily disappointed considering the rejection.

Interview process was fairly straightforward. Recruiters are super helpful in getting you prepared for whats to come. Interviews got scheduled fairly fast, so having the momentum is great. Each interview only lasted about 30 minutes. from start to finish it took about 1 month
