There was a screening call and a confirmation email before the interview and I feel that this company deceived me in the following ways: -During the phone call the recruiter stated that this is a job for the state of California, not for an insurance company, and additionally the confirmation email was quite disingenuous in not mentioning the employer -While the email stated that a drivers license is required, the recruiter made no mention of this in the call and no mention was made overall prior to the interview to the fact that a candidate is required to own his/her own car -Neither the phone call nor the email made any mention of the fact that this is a sales job -The salary range discussed in the phone call and mentioned in the email seemed to imply that this was depending on experience, however it was clear during the interview that it was commission based.

These people are LIARS!!!! I was told this was for a 'benefits representative' position. I was told I would be ‘answering questions of employees who work mostly for labor unions – when they call in and have questions about their benefits, I’d be the person answering those questions.’ WHAT A LIE!! Recruiter ALSO said it's for a company called 'Winters & Associates.' I work 2nd shift, so I go to bed about 5am and get up about noon-1pm. HOWEVER, for THIS interview I went to bed as early as possible (considering my inner time clock) - about midnight-1am. Got up about 6:00am for an interview 35 miles away. (So I was up about 7 hours earlier than usual - and I STILL had to go to work that day at 4pm!) Took me an hour and a half to get to this interview, and when I got there I saw THREE OTHER NAMES for the company, but NO WINTERS & ASSOCIATES! THEN I found out the REAL JOB WAS SELLING LIFE INSURANCE!! I WAS FURIOUS!! I still had to go to another interview that day at 2pm, but as I drove past downtown (where the interview was) at 11am - THREE hours before my interview, I thought, "What do I do now? Do I pay for three extra hours of parking - a LOT of money - OR do I go all the way home for an hour and come BACK downtown - AND THEN GO TO WORK?" (which is what I chose to do). DON'T BELIEVE IT WHEN SOMEBODY TELLS YOU THEY'RE HIRING FOR A BENEFITS SPECIALIST POSITION IN CANONSBURG PENNSYLVANIA -- IT'S A LIFE INSURANCE SALES JOB!!!!!!! Oh and the woman who interviewed me - ERICA - came out with a stone cold look on her face - like they do this ALL day long and get yelled at for it all day long - DECEPTIVE RECRUITING PRACTICES!!!! PLUS, I still had to go to work that day and I have the lives of 120 elderly people in my hands.

Phone interview. There was notification via e-mail for several dates and times, then follow-up communication for specific dates and times. I had to send a message to remind interviewer it was the time and date when they were not ready.
