Applied online via careers page. A recruiter reached out a week later to schedule a phone interview. We discussed my previous sales experience, and I answered a few questions about my sales process. When I asked specific questions about the role, the recruiter could not provide answers because apparently the role was not even officially open yet. When it came time to discuss next steps, the recruiter told me that she would be reaching out to a sales manager to schedule the next round of interviews and to expect a follow up email with next steps in the coming days. 2 days later, the recruiter emailed me saying that I was now out of the running and that the company was looking at other candidates that more closely aligned with what they were looking for. The email also indicated that the role I was apparently interviewing for was an inside sales representative role, although it was advertised an an Account Executive role on the careers page of their website. All in all, the process was very misleading.

Very thorough, honestly an amazing experience considering everything with Covid. Amazing leadership and management. The recruiter told me exactly what to study for and I hit on almost everything. Unfortunately during Covid “almost everything” is not enough. You have to be perfect in these times if you are going to land a good job
