      Entretien

I was referred by an internal employee at Meraki. Within a few days of submitting my resume, I was scheduled a phone interview with the Director of Talent Acquisition. We chatted for about half an hour and after speaking with her, I was very intrigued by the company and wanted to learn more about the opportunity. She scheduled some time for me to meet with the Recruiting Team and also invited me to the Sales Recruiting Happy Hour. Attending the Happy Hour was a great opportunity for me to see the Recruiters in action and also showed me how innovative they are with their recruiting techniques. The next day I met with the team who were very candid and honest with me about the position and shared great feedback as to why Meraki would be a great opportunity as a career path. I left the interview feeling great about the position and was ready for next steps. A week after meeting the team, I spoke to the VP of Sales briefly which I thought was great considering his very busy schedule. The next day I heard back from the Director of Talent Acquisition who extended me the offer. I had some hesitations only because I had been with my current company at the time for 5 years. She was very understanding and supportive and encouraged me to take my time to think about the offer. After a few days of thinking it over, I accepted the offer. I knew it was the right decision because my overall experience was very positive and I looked forward to being a part of Meraki's continued success and growth!

Average at best, the company needs someone who fits the bill to the T; Maybe they are just fishing around to find the most suitable person which might be an impossible task considering that the allied industries are limited to none

Recruiters were fast and responsive, and terrible with feedback delivery. The HR interviewers were bad, you'd think HR would be more prepared in conducting interviews. After two phone interviews, I was invited for an on-campus one with three HR people. During the on-campus interview, I knew I was not interested in this company as I kept asking "why do you like to work here" and was given the same answer you find anywhere else in the valley "collaborative, hard working culture". When I probe for more, nothing else came. Disappointed. Then I was given a case study and the person who I was solving this case for did not even showed up to the panel. Surprised when the same person was my last interviewer, who during the interview kept looking at the clock and showed no interested on my background and no questions on the case study she missed.
