The Interview process took seven weeks. Proces: First step: CV + Cover Letter. The first step was followed by phone interview - approx. 30 minutes - in two different languages (German+ English). Third Informal session in their office - First part was a presentation of the company and the second informal meeting with employees (it is called an informal meeting, but you are formally dressed and judged at every step) - approx 1,5 hours in two languages (German+ English). The fourth is Assesment Centre (AC). The first part is a presentation of a company by area manager and a second part is a group session. The AC is also conducted in 2-3 different languages (depends on which market you apply). - approx 4 hours in two different languages (German+ English). The Fifth is final interview with the Senior Managers - approx. 2 hours in three languages (German+ English+ your mother tongue if different from languages mentioned). To sum up: The company Meltwater feels more like fraternity club. For their `International Management Programm` they don`t look for experienced people or for people who could move the company forward. They are looking for soldiers who will sell, sell and sell and would have no intention to change anything. It is not a management program at all. It is a Direct Sales Program (mainly direct phone sales). I applied at Meltwater because I believed that their product is filling a market niche. However, my impression is, that they don`t care about their product at all. They care only about sells, and everything else (how innovative they are, training program in Africa, personal development program) is only a superficial game.
