      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Medix en août 2025

      Entretien

Was contacted by a Medix recruiter for a position in MD. Recruiter's name was Leslie, and initially throughout the duration of the interview process things went well as Leslie was very helpful throughout the process to send interview tips as well as potential questions that the interviewer would ask. After a zoom and in person interview, she reached out that the company would like to move forward with the hiring process and bring me in to work for them. Being delighted, I asked for an offer letter. Leslie proceeded to tell me there was no offer letter and that it would be given to be the day before I start the job. What?? I proceeded to ask for a few days to think about the offer since I would receive no offer letter until the day before I start (basically allowing me little to no time to read over the offer letter, check the terms and conditions, any legal consequences if the contract were to end early, or confirmation of me receiving the job as well as my pay). Due to that, I was extremely weary of the recruiting agency and did not want to immediately accept the offer. Although I asked for a few days to decide, she declined my asking and told me to give her a response the next day. The next day rolls around and I told her I was still thinking on it, and that I would like a written portion confirmation of job acceptance and pay, and to still think it over. She kept saying how she promised the company she would give them my response the day of (which she did not tell me) and that me 'asking for more time' to decide was a 'red flag' to the company and how that company is 'very selective regarding ethics and values and attitude and integrity, etc.' This was active pressuring, and although I did not mention it at all in the phone call, she said multiple times 'I hope this doesn't come off as pressuring...' and 'I didn't mean to pressure you for this decision...' which led me to think it was a common tactic used by Medix to rush their clients into accepting a position without an offer letter and no time to think on the offer.
