I applied online, and a few days later, I received an email asking to partake in a phone interview. I gave the recruiter my specific dates times and was scheduled to talk with a media planner. On the day of the phone interview, the media planner called right on time, and we got right into the questions. I explained to her my previous experience and why I wanted to work with McKinney. The Media Planner was very easy to talk to, and I answered everything asked. Overall, the interview was pleasant and had no issues.
Since the interview, I had not heard back from either the Recruiter or Media Planner. I emailed the recruiter two weeks after to see if there was any update, and I got back no response. No call, not even an automated email. Just nothing.
If anyone in the Human Resources/Recruiting Office reading this from McKinney, if you're going to move on from a candidate for an open position, tell them. It's not fair to not update job applicants regarding their job applications and leaving them out in the cold. It's a common courtesy that should be done with all businesses. I don't want to see others who apply to the same company go through the same experience as I did. Thank you.
