      Candidature

Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Mayzo (New York, NY)

      Entretien

The process was about as long as you would expect for a technical role. Rep from HR extended a "verbal offer" without giving an actual amount, I'd imagine it was to string me along. After a week of waiting to hear back on the written offer, I am told that I will hear back on Monday. After all is said and done, they couldn't be bothered to call me to notify that they have rescinded the offer. The role seemed promising, and the industry was interesting, but I kept getting a bad feeling throughout the entire process. If you are seriously interviewing with this company, be cautious, and certainly don't wait up. There seems to be some poor etiquette happening here. They gave a verbal offer and asked "are you interested?", and I answered yes but I would need to see the actual offer letter. I have interviewed across a number of different industries and have never experienced this type of behavior from an employer. It was unprofessional and would guarentee that I would reject any correspondence if they tried to contact me again. I am honest in everything that I do, this review is no exception. If I had known how I would be treated by the end of this "process", I would have never agreed to even talk with Mayzo to begin with. Advice on professionalism: Maybe next time you rescind a verbal offer, give the candidate a call. That's just basic decency.

      Question 1

Questions with broad context on how I might approach a vague problem. Mainly more concerned on whether or not I was alright with working on site.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and interview with us. We responded back to you promptly and in the same way you had communicated with us. We were provided further information with your current compensation package, and after consideration, we realized the offer we had in mind would not be sufficient to compete with that. We wish you the best of luck in your job search.
