First I completed the online coding test, 7 questions/ 90 minutes. You really have to be on the right track with every problem right away if you want to compete on time. After that had another coding test over the phone. Small piece of C++ code, fix two problems- one causes a runtime crash, another is logical. I fixed the first problem right away, got into explaining a little bit. Second was a function that sorts by two key, I misunderstood that I need to change the order of the keys first, which was wrong, when I realized that I just need to change < to > ofcourse I did that, which was correct. I got rejected because I was "too slow"! That is after completing timed test of 7 programming questions I was too slow for them! Completely not fair!

Question 1
Problems were relatively simple, but it is hard when the code does not fit on the page and you have to keep scrolling up and down while explaining what you are doing. Typing relatively on top of the page while having to look up what is going on on the bottom.

Don't waste your time interviewing with them 1. Introduction call with recruiter That was pretty good 2. Hackerank test Pretty straightforward 90 mins 1 mcq and 2 coding questions 3. Home assignment I completed the assessment and got a vague email in response for rejection. These are some of the reasons that they said could have been the case Timing Fairly competitive so maybe some one else was better Better skill match I think if someone spends their personal time to do the assignment, companies should have the courtesy to give better feedback. If you can't spare 10 mins to write a feedback don't ask people to spend 3 hours on your assignment. If you think there skills don't match don't progress them to next rounds and waste their time and yours.
