J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez MaxLiving (Norman, OK)

      Entretien

After a brief in-person conversation, I was asked to come into the office for a “working interview” in which I spent half a day in their office while the staff worked and patients came in for appointments. I was given very little instruction on what I was to do during this time - I think they wanted me to jump in and show them the approach I would take with the position by following the doctor around, engaging with patients, etc., but I am not sure how they expect interviewees to know and/or feel comfortable taking part in what’s going on in the office with no training, no instruction, and no guidance. I spent most of the time standing off to the side and watching the others work, and when I attempted to talk to patients, most of them seemed very confused about who I was and why I was speaking to them. The employees were kind but also seemed to be judging my performance, which was intimidating. The entire experience was very uncomfortable, but to top it all off, I left that day and was told they would be in touch with me to let me know what they decided, but I never heard another word from them - no call, no email, nothing. I spent a large amount of time pursuing that job and would have appreciated at least an acknowledgement that they had gone with another candidate. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful of my time.

      Question 1

They asked me to spend half a workday in their office and framed it as though I was there to observe, but then seemed dissatisfied when I had not yet interacted with patients, engaged in the work happening in the office, etc.
